​Laura La France is a filmmaker based on Treaty 6 Territory in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. ​Laura is interested in telling true stories using analog processes, particularly Super 8mm film. Her work captures a sense of place on the Canadian Prairies that feels dreamy, timeless, and strangely familiar. Laura shoots music videos, wedding films and a variety of commercial work under her sole-proprietorship company, Big Mimic Productions. ​

Laura also sits on the board for Northwest Film Fest and is lucky enough to work as a projectionist for the Metro Cinema.
